Remember that I asked a number of questions about baby sign language at our conference last month? I didn't hear a lot of enthusiasm, but many parents here are quite interested. I have begun using sign language in every baby program. For example in one Baby and Me Rhymetime Stories and Play where the theme was food, we sang the song "If you're hungry and you know it, go like this" with many verses and opportunities for signs for milk, thirsty, and "more". Another time, I was able to sign some of the key words in a book about baby going to the park. Each time I include 5-10 signs. Sign language is not included in our implementation plan, but I had already done quite a bit of research on products, including toys, posters, and puppets. Anyone else interested in this or even want to talk about why you think it is not an appropriate part of ELF?
